Privacy policy
In short: Uplozo fixes files inside your browser. Your files, their names and the addresses of pages you visit are never sent to Uplozo or anyone else.
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking across sites or days, no selling of data.
- When fixing a file fails, Uplozo sends an anonymous error report so the problem can be fixed. You can turn this off.
- Site names are included only if you turn that on. It's off unless you choose it.
- Reports you write yourself are sent when you press Send.
What Uplozo does
When you pick a file in an upload field on a website, Uplozo reads that field's requirements (allowed file types, size in KB, photo size in pixels, number of pages), changes your file on your own device to meet them, and gives the fixed file to the website in place of the original. You can undo any fix.
Your files
Files you pick are processed only in your browser, on your device. They are never uploaded to Uplozo. The fixed file goes only to the website you were already uploading to, exactly as the original would have. Photos are only resized, cropped, converted between formats or compressed. Uplozo never changes faces or the content of a picture or document.
The pages you visit
To find upload fields and their rules, Uplozo reads the parts of a page next to an upload field (labels, help text, error messages and the field's settings). This happens on your device. Page addresses and page contents are not recorded or sent, with the one exception you control, described under "Site names" below.

Before anything is sent, Uplozo removes links, email addresses, file names, folder paths and long numbers from every message, both in the extension and again on our server.
How it's used
- To find and fix bugs: repeated errors become a private task for the developer, and many are fixed with the help of an automated coding assistant (Claude by Anthropic), which receives the anonymous report text, never your files.
- To learn each site's real limits: when several different people's reports agree, the limit is added to a shared list every Uplozo downloads, so the next person's file is fixed correctly the first time. If people undo it, it's removed automatically.
- To see whether a new version works better (fewer undos and retries).
Data is never sold, rented, shared for advertising, or used to decide creditworthiness or anything about you.
Where it's stored, and for how long
- Reports go to Uplozo's server on Cloudflare (Cloudflare acts as our processor). Your IP address is used for a moment to limit abuse and is not stored. To count how many different people hit a problem without knowing who they are, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address, the date and a secret, which changes every day; it is deleted after 30 days.
- Error details and site limits: 180 days. Written reports: kept until the issue is resolved; an email you gave is deleted after 1 year.
- Bug tasks are kept in a private GitHub repository. Your email is never copied there.
Stored on your computer
Your settings, rules for fields (when you save them or a site's error states them), the last five fixes per site (file type and size only), sites where you turned Uplozo off, reports waiting to be sent, and the downloaded list of site limits. All in your browser's local extension storage. Delete them in Settings ("Delete all saved rules and history") or by removing the extension.
Your choices
- Turn off error reports, site names, or downloaded site limits in Uplozo → Settings → Privacy. Turning reports off also deletes any report waiting to be sent.
- Ask us to delete a report you wrote, or anything else: write to uplozo@globlly.com.
Permissions
- Access to websites: to find upload fields and put the fixed file back on the sites you use. The ask-per-site version only gets access to sites you allow, one at a time.
- Storage: for the settings and items listed above.
- Offscreen document: to convert images and PDFs in a hidden extension page on your device.
- Alarms: to send reports in batches and refresh the list of site limits.
- Scripting and active tab (ask-per-site version only): to start Uplozo on a site right after you allow it.
Children
Uplozo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Reports are anonymous.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If Uplozo ever wanted to send anything not listed above, it would ask you first.

भेजने से पहले Uplozo हर संदेश से लिंक, ईमेल, फ़ाइल के नाम, फ़ोल्डर के पते और लंबे नंबर हटा देता है, एक्सटेंशन में भी और हमारे सर्वर पर भी।
इस्तेमाल और सुरक्षा
रिपोर्ट से बग ठीक किए जाते हैं (एक स्वचालित कोडिंग सहायक, Anthropic का Claude, गुमनाम रिपोर्ट का टेक्स्ट देखता है, आपकी फ़ाइलें कभी नहीं), साइटों की असली सीमाएँ सीखी जाती हैं, और नए वर्ज़न की जाँच होती है। डेटा कभी बेचा या विज्ञापन के लिए साझा नहीं किया जाता। रिपोर्ट Cloudflare पर हमारे सर्वर में 180 दिन तक रहती हैं; आपका IP पता सेव नहीं होता; हर दिन बदलने वाला एक गुप्त कोड 30 दिन बाद मिटा दिया जाता है; आपका ईमेल 1 साल बाद मिटा दिया जाता है और कभी GitHub पर नहीं जाता।
